A Small & Creative Environment

Our newest iSchool is a small and creative environment that will have an emphasis on media arts and civics education and serve grades 9 -12. Our mode of instruction will be a blend of direct instruction, independent learning, online education, and most importantly, project-based learning. Students will have a variety of options to suit their learning style and help them succeed at the high school level and prepare them for college.

Technology will be an integral part of everyday learning and students will be creating digital products from various subject courses to be assembled in a student digital portfolio that will aid them when it comes time to apply for college. Students will be using state of the art technology and industry standard tools to create multimedia assignments allowing students the opportunity to learn the 21st century skills necessary for today’s global marketplace.

In addition, we will also have a Civics component that will give students a deeper understanding of local, state, and national government and civic responsibility. Students will have advanced social studies course options that will allow them the chance to gain internships and mentorships in various city and state organizations.

As a new campus, we will strive to prepare students for college readiness and will utilize the dual enrollment program with Austin Community College. Furthermore, our partnership with StateU.com will also give students the chance to take online college courses through the University of Texas at Arlington and Lamar University. A college counselor from one of those institutions will work closely with our own college counselor to ensure that students are staying up to date and succeeding in their coursework.

iSchool High, committed to the individual success of each student, is a public high school system designed to provide diverse opportunities and challenges. Preparing 21st Century Students to Meet 21st Century Challenges

iSchool High of Lewisville is designed to immerse all students in rigorous liberal arts in a Project-Based Learning environment melded with Advanced Placement and industry internships that engage the students’ interests. iSchool High is a tuition-free, public charter school that operates on an academic calendar which runs from August to June.

Our mission is to challenge students to think critically, to reflect, and to transform their goals into realities through authentic, innovative and rigorous studies in a safe, high-tech learning environment.

Our vision is to create a high academic learning environment centered on rigor, relevance, and relationships that foster a passion for lifelong learning and reflection to empower students to become leaders of their community and today’s global world.
